George Harrison Concert Poster Design

This poster was designed for a hypothetical George Harrison tribute concert in London. An Indian textile pattern contained in the image of the flower in the poster speaks to George Harrison’s devotion to meditation and Indian music as he matured during his later years as a Beatle, which greatly influenced his career as a solo musician. The poster design also features grass at the bottom of the poster containing lyrics to Art of Dying, one of Harrison’s songs which was released on his 1970 triple album All Things Must Pass. The colors of the poster were also influenced by Indian culture, with warmer colors taken from spices most frequently used in Indian cuisine.
